The BeYOUtiful Series

Growing Up is Hard to Do

Transitioning from a kid into a teenager is hard work. Going into middle school, they are surrounded by the friends they grew up with. You know, those ride or die elementary school friends that would do anything and everything for each other. And then, a month or two into sixth grade, nothing is as it seems. Old friends are lost, new friends are made and their world is upended. As if that isn't enough, they are changing classes all the time, navigating new hallways, teachers, homework, etc., all the while their body is going through a metamorphosis of sorts. It's rough out there for a middle schooler. Heck, it's even rough for someone in high school and as an adult. Add in the Coronavirus and it makes it exponentially worse.

For some unexplainable reason, a preteen's self esteem takes a nose dive the second they hit those middle school years. They feel awkward and clunky, always feeling as if they are not good enough. Not skinny enough, not tall enough, not pretty enough. Their hair is too short, their hair is too long, their face is all broken out, they now have braces or glasses; their bodies have literally betrayed them and they feel like they are not enough.

In a world where no one feels like they are enough, I want them to see themselves as I see them. Beautiful. Handsome. Happy. Young. Carefree. Full of possibilities. Enough. Therefore, I have launched the BeYOUtiful series. A photo session geared for middle to early high school kids...too old for milestone sessions but too young for Senior photo sessions. A photo session just for them, in their element, showcasing their talents, hobbies, or interests. With their guitar, books, other instruments, farm animals, pets, or just them.

In this particular photo, the model is seen with her late grandmother's guitar. The look in her eyes when she saw this photo was one of realizing what I see in her. Her sweet, soft, gentle, artistic side. That is what I want to bring to life in your child's eyes. The knowledge that they are BeYOUtiful and perfect, just the way they are. Guy, girl, young or old. Heck, if you are 45 years old and want a session like this, I am all in. I believe we should all know just how BeYOUtiful we are.

The Investment Fee is $150 for six digital images delivered via online gallery along with a print release. This does include the Sitting Fee. You will also receive a complimentary 4x6 of each digital image. A $50 deposit is due now to reserve your spot for August, September, October, or November with the remainder of the fee due the week before the scheduled session. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns and to reserve your slot on my calendar.

I look forward to showcasing what makes you or your child BeYOUtiful just the way they are.
